A Touch of Madness Profile
A Touch of Madness Information
A beautiful Victorian home now converted into an elegant, warm comfortable restaurant. The cuisine is South African Fusion with Colonial influences. Chef Willem du Toit grills to perfection and does a large selection of vegetarian dishes, including Mushroom and Aubergine Babotie, grills, burgers and home-style curries and hot pots.
A Touch Of Madness is located in a Victorian Style semi-detached house built between 1900 and 1905. At the time when it was built there were stables on Pepper Tree Square, Peninsula School Feeding was a park and the Old Post Office building was a tennis court. The roads were still cobbled and horse and buggy the means of transport. The building has been decorated to take you back in time to those golden days when Observatory was just a fledgling suburb.

Magical

Atmosphere and good food normally come at a price but not here. Your hosts are wonderful and have managed to create absolute perfection. A Touch of Madness reflects the warmth, eccentricity, creativity and down to earth nature of what Obs is. Nothing is ordinary or boring...right from its people to the delicious food it serves. Hier gaan julle kuier :)
