Manolo Profile
Manolo Information
Sleek and chic, Manolo is situated in a 105 years old Victorian villa near the centre of Cape Town. Two stylish dining rooms and a Verandah, each one differently designed, provide a unique vibe for an extraordinary dining experience.
The Gold Room has a minimalist city feeling with comfortable, elegant seats, a dark wooden floor and bulbs with exaggerated filaments that float above your eyes like glowing coiled fairies. A fireplace and broken white curtains complement the vibe with a homey feeling.
The Light Room is the largest room with long, tall lounge couches, warm orange lights, a wooden floor and fireplace.
The Verandah offers smokers or non-smokers a unique dining experience with wonderful views of Table Mountain.
The 6 meter long under-lit, crisp white marble bar counter with blue-neon lights on a vaulted pressed ceiling is the perfect place to start savouring mouth-watering cocktails such as the Manolo Chill or Basil Mojito. The Manolo cigar lounge is a cosy and quiet spot for intimate conversations.
The extensive wine list comprises a marvellous selection from South Africa and France, and offers the connoisseur a complete dining experience.

All In Favour Say Mmm
By Martin PooleNovember 7 2007
I'm no restaurant critic, but I certainly enjoyed my evening with friends at Manolo.
The Mojito is about the best I've had commercially. Simple, direct and tasty. The music was light classical / jazz, played at a pleasing level. Conversation in the pre-drinks lounge was natural. High ceilings, large amounts of space and garish colours make for a spacious and unclutterd place. Large windows and low-brightness lights had the venue feeling like time was suspended at sunset all evening. Food was delightful. The soup (starter) and venison were ideal in presentation and quantity. Cost was as advertised - quite heavy. The quality of the product matched the cost, so no gripes.
Overall a recommendation that suited us nicely. Some nifty dishes and a very pleasant atmosphere to enjoy them in. Thanks, SBF.
