Geisha Wok And Noodle Bar Information
Famed Irish chef, Conrad Gallagher, "woks and rolls!"
Geisha Wok and Noodle Bar opened its doors to Cape Town's public in December 2007 with a unique, dashing style of cuisine, featuring Asian-style tapas, sushi and sashimi and over 30 wok and noodle dishes, all combined with a large selection of handpicked wines from South Africa's smallest and finest boutique winery.
This highly branded super eatery is the first restaurant owned and operated by Conrad Gallagher in South Africa and promises to deliver a new standard for both local and international jet-setters.
Situated in the cool, funky, up-market area of Mouille Point alongside the ocean, luxury, apartments and a golf course, the exciting restaurant concept has been built by Conrad Gallagher Consulting's design team, which specializes in building restaurant concepts for top hotels and restaurants around the world. All the design work has been completed in-house.
The concept was inspired by Conrad himself, who is a huge fan of wok-style cooking. Being a great noodle fundi, Conrad frequently cooks at home for his wife and two small children who are avid fans of noodles and Asian-style tapas. This sparked Conrad's motivation.
While the kitchen runs under the careful eye of Conrad, the day-to-day operations are managed by Executive Chef, Fred Faucheux, who has headed up the kitchens of some of Sun International's top restaurants as well as Tank in Cape Town. With great trust and confidence instilled by Conrad, Fred is assisted by a full team of imported Asian talent brought in especially to capture the true integrity of both the food and the experience.
